Robinson Crusoe

(1) Colonialism is defined as: The system or policy by which a nation maintains or advocates such control or influence.
In Dafoe's Robinson Crusoe, colonialism is clearly apparent. colonialism is seen in how crusoe treates Friday...only as a slave or servant.  "My man Friday" indicates a sense of servility on Friday's part this ownership  of Crusoe reflects the attitude of English Man. Thus,  Crusoe  owns the Island and instruct those living there just as if he was the governor or political leader... Just as any British Colony would be governed.
(2)How colonialism works in our life... First, freedom  sounds like an exciting time to live which presented great opportunity for those willing to take risks and work hard.
But... Even today we are not totally free from the colonialism, still we have mentally some attachment from English People or English Society.in some case we blindly following their rules and regulations like... We takes holidays on Christmas and celebrate their culture and customs with cake cutting, burning candles.even we wear western style clothes in our traditional functions also. They used to wear jeans cause of their cold weather but in sunny weather we used to wear jeans.
(3)Yes, Movie is the different than the original novel
As a book adoption, Movie is totally not faithful.since many facts were changed and others included in the movie, which is never existed.
E. G. - Movie starts with the 3rd voyage.
-In book Crusoe have parrot and Goat on the island but in the movie there is dog.
-in movie Crusoe need Friday. when friday ran away...crusoe apologize him.
-Crusoe spending less than 5years on the island when he stayed almost 28years.
-Here, in the moviewe can see that no total submission towards master.
-Difference on God Matter also and so on,  are just a few mentions.
(4)yes...there are some elements in movie  which is differ thn the movie and shows anti colonialism also.
And big example of it is... There is very frank full relation of Crusoe and Friday.
